2022 survey report

Guide to best practice

Guide to best practice

Reporting on what our 2022 survey told us about just how much people are experiencing online hate and the effect it has on them.

Who we are

Our actions

Who we are

We are a collective of more than 40 UK charities working together to review ethical social media, marketing and communications policies. We are developing long-term recommendations for real changes to prevent hate speech on social media.

Our aims

Our actions

Who we are

We believe that it’s time for social media platforms to be better, and to do better by the people who use them. It’s time for them to take action to make their platforms more inclusive and make them places for connecting and debate, rather than places for hate.

Our actions

Our actions

Our actions

We are reviewing our own ethical marketing policies, creating guidance for our own staff, volunteers and the wider Third Sector community. Together with people who have experienced hate speech online we are taking recommendations to social media platforms to show how they can do better for the people and communities we support.
